Following House Officer jobs, he moved to Macclesfield in Cheshire for his vocational training and took a year out to work in Australia prior to finishing his GP training.
Since being in Lincoln, he has taken up the position of Club Doctor to Lincoln City Football Club since 1996 and has graduated from Nottingham University with an MSc in Sports Medicine.
Within the practice, he is responsible for finance and complaints, with a shared responsibility for personnel and is also responsible for the practice appointment system.
Clinically, he has interests in asthma, diabetes and minor surgery in addition to Sports Medicine. He is also a GP with a special interest in Orthopaedics.

After Membership examinations, he spent two years as an Orthopaedic Registrar in Cork and Limerick. He then moved to the UK in 2000 and completed the Lincoln Vocational Training Scheme in 2003. He then worked as a Salaried Principal in two local Practices before joining Minster Medical Practice as a Partner in August 2004.
He has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and enjoys the wide variety of General Practice.

She became a district nurse for 2 years then a practice nurse working in a GP surgery.
In 2010 Jane undertook a medical degree in autonomous practice and then completed the independent prescribing course. This further qualification enables Jane to work alongside her GP colleagues seeing the minor illness/ minor ailments elements that present in the practice. Jane can prescribe treatments and refer for investigations which allows the GPs to spend more time on complex cases.

These specialist physiotherapists can assess you and suggest the most appropriate way to help you. They can also give you advice about any further investigations or treatment you may need and refer you to other services. They can help patients with musculoskeletal issues such as soft tissue injuries, strains, sprains and sports injuries, arthritis and spinal pain.
First Contact Practitioners have been shown to give patients quicker access to diagnosis and treatment, helping them to manage their conditions more effectively and recover faster, so they can get back to normal life quickly.

Having Clinical Pharmacists in GP practices means that GPs can focus their skills where they are most needed, for example on diagnosing and treating patients with more complex conditions, and ensure patients are seen by the most appropriate healthcare professional.

The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Reception Team
The reception team of Elaine, Sharon, Mandy, Helen, Amanda and Rosie are your first contact with the Practice. It is their job to advise and guide you and any information they receive is treated in the strictest confidence. If you are willing to provide them with details of your enquiry, they will then be able to assist you in the use of our range of services.
Secretaries
Tracey and Nicky are our secretaries; in addition to providing secretarial support to the Practice, our secretaries also arrange hospital referral appointments and liaise between hospital consultants and your doctors.
Administration
Our administrator Maralyn provides support to the practice management team and is responsible for managing the practice recall system. Administrators Ellen, Jodi, Mel and Emily are responsible for workflow optimisation, summarising and clinical coding.

Community Midwives
Claire Warburton provides the majority of antenatal and postnatal care and is at the surgery on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She works with a small team of midwives practicing in the North of the City.
